Concrete forms in place.

So the steal pilings were driven into the ground, cut off level and now have a concrete form box built around them.

One of the challanges of building a bridge is that you are constantly fighting water. Notice the green pump in the background of this shot.

 

It was running when I took these pics and I suspect it will run all night. If you look to the right of the box in the shot above, you can see water pouring into the excavation.

 Also, a large pit has been installed on the "uphill" side of the creek. I suspect this is in preparation for the pilings and foundation.

Things have moved!

 The Utility Trailer has been moved and digging now continues on the "uphill" side of the creek.

Labor Day

Rained last night, just over an inch locally. First big rain on the site since construction started.
