At work again.

The same workman were back so I drove down to take a look.
(sorry, no picture. Didn't have camera with me)
Their trucks all said "Harvest Monovia Water Authority".
They were in a ditch down in the creek bed. I surmise that they are moving/replacing/repairing a water main that was cut to install the new bridge foundation (seen in this earlier picture - the green pipe below the raccoon).
I hate to think that the half month delay we just went through was waiting for the County to come and do this.

Finally back to work!

Sorry, no time for a photo today but I did see work crews on site this afternoon.
Let's hope this is a trend that continues.

2 Weeks - NO WORK.

Movement but no work.

For some reason, the crane has been moved slightly since Friday ... but no other sign of change.

Take the week off.

If there doesn't seem to be  any difference it's because nothing was done on the site this week.

Barely drizzled today. Total of .08 inches.

No sign of workers.  

Drizzling rain today for a total of .46 inches. (rain gauge within a mile of the site)

What's Next?

 The site sat quite today, with no sign of workers.

So, with the completion (?) of the foundations 

and the removal of the excavators, we wait.

Foundation work is done???

Apparently the Foundation work is complete. The last excavator is loaded up for removal.

 Two things of interest. Notice the new concrete foundation now underwater and the large earthen berm in the background. That newly worked (and apparently seeded and hayed) dam sits on a subdivision lot that had remained un-built on. I assume no one ever chose to build there because it was flood prone and would have been to expensive for an individual to raise to a safe level. Has the County has now purchased that lot and paid to put the dam there?

Ready for a bridge.

Form finish?

 Looks like they are loading up the forms for removal from the site. Could they be finished with the foundation ?

Apparently it takes a while to make these forms. 

It does look like it won't be long until the concrete can be poured.

Base Formation

 Forms are now being built on the "Jeff Road" side of the bridge.

Pile Driving is Finished?

The crane remains but the pile driver seems to have been removed.

The ditches with the pilings have all been allowed to flood now.

Seems the workers find our creek a better place to throw their trash.

The Bottom line ...

 It would seem that they are nearly through with the pilings.
